Fall Makeup Update with Blue Mercury
As the seasons change we all remember to switch out our wardrobes but often forget about our makeup bags. We find a blush, concealer or foundation that suited our skin at the time and we continue buying it every couple of months without stopping to think about how much our skin texture and tone change change between seasons. Does your skin look the same in July as it does November? Kinda scary when you think about it, right?
I'll be the first to admit that I've been wearing the same blush shade (Nars Orgasm) for the better part of six years. I also haven't tried on a lipstick shade beyond the pink/nude family since....OK since never. I don't know about you, but I could use a little make bag refresh.

Clean Out Your Closet for a Cause with Simon Malls and Fashion Project
Select Simon malls are teaming up with Fashion Project to offer fashion lovers everywhere the opportunity to donate their gently worn designer clothing to benefit charitable causes. Fashion Project is an online clothing donation service committed to using fashion as a force for good.
The best part about this clothing drive is that you can choose which charity you would like to support. Upon receipt of your donation bag at the Fashion Project headquarters, Fashion Project will sort and sell the items, donating 55% of the proceeds to the donor’s charity of choice. Pretty great, right?
Between October 27, 2014 and November 10, 2014, you can pick up a donation bag at the Guest Services counter at participating Simon malls or request one online at fashionproject.com/simon. Boston readers, you can pick up donation bags at Copley Place. Once you fill up your bag, just drop it off at your nearest U.S. Post Office.
Fashion Project accepts women’s clothing, shoes, handbags and accessories from brands such as Free People, Tory Burch and Prada. A complete list of qualifying brands is listed on Fashion Project’s ‘Qualifying Brands List’ (fashionproject.com/brands). A qualifying item must be in near new or great condition.
And it gets better! For every five qualifying items, the donor will earn a $20 Simon Gift card. There is no limit to the gift card quantity so if you donate 10 qualifying items you’ll earn $40 and so on.

My Favorite Oscar de la Renta Fashion Moments
Oscar de la Renta said that his role as a designer was to make a woman feel her very best, and that will truly be his lasting fashion legacy. No one designed clothes to flatter women quite like Mr. de la Renta.
His designs have been a perennial favorite of mine since I discovered his dresses on the red carpet as a teenager. As a tribute to him and his work, it seemed fitting to round up my favorite Oscar de la Rena fashion moments.
I hope his designs inspire you as much as they've inspired me.

Fall Boots Guide
Well ladies, I broke down and turned on the heat at my house this week, so I think the fall weather is here to stay. Not everyone loves the return of chilly temps but I think we can all appreciate what comes along with cooler weather: boots season!!
I actually prefer my boot collection to my heels collection because they're warmer and sturdier, making them perfect for all day wear. If you haven't sured up your boot wardrobe for fall/winter, check out my top picks from this season's boot collections.
FYI: This post is shoppable. Just click on the pink dot to the right of the boot to find out where you can purchase it.

Beauty Review: Darphin Paris Dark Circles Relief and De-puffing Eye Serum
I noticed an immediate difference in how puffy my eyes would get in the morning. If I used the serum the night before, I woke up with no bags. If I forgot, I was stuck with puffy eyes until my first cup of tea at my desk.
The consistency is incredibly light so it's perfect to put under makeup. The one caveat is that, because it's a serum, you'll need an eye cream to provide moisture under your eyes. I don't mind the extra step if it means I avoid the morning bags.
The $76 price tag doesn't make it a bargain, but you can't put a price on fresh eyes in the morning.
FYI: This post is shopable! Just click on the red dot for more information on the product and where you can purchase it.

October Wish List
I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend! I cannot believe that we're halfway through October. I love the fall season and it's going way too fast for me.
I've been on the lookout for a 2015 planner that includes the fall 2014 months and I found this cute one from Kate Spade. I tried to keep all my meetings and appointments on my phone calendar but it's just not the same.
All my sweaters are unpacked and my boots have been re-soled by the cobbler but I'm still eyeing a couple of more fall items. This cashmere scarf is so soft and it's the perfect cold weather red color. I feel like I've been hunting for the perfect high-quality faux fur vest for two years and I think this belted version from Karl Lagerfeld might be it.
I saw these sole society booties Southern Curls & Pearls and fell in love. Great neutral color with a heel I can stand on all day. This cozy J. Crew tunic sweater is just long enough to cover my butt when I'm wearing leggings tucked into riding boots to run errands around town. It sounds silly, but that's my go-to outfit on Saturday mornings.
I haven't switched up my shampoo in a while and I think my frizzed out strands need a change. The weather has been pretty crisp lately but my hair is still frizzing like it's August so I think Living Proof No Frizz is just what I need.
I've been wearing Coco Mademoiselle for several years but I read somewhere last week that Creed Fleurissimo was commissioned for Grace Kelly to wear on her wedding day and was also a favorite of Jackie O. In my mind, that warrants at least a test run. I'll let you know what I think.

Packing List for Girls Trip to Vermont
I'm heading up to Vermont for the holiday weekend but I've yet to pack my bag for the trip. With 24 hours until departure, I've decided to pack preppy casual, which is perfect for a fall weekend filled with leaf peeping, antiquing and apple picking. The leather clutch and skirt are easy extras for a nice dinner out.
Stay tuned for all the scoop on my trip north!

The 2014 Neiman Marcus Christmas Book
The Neiman Marcus Christmas Book has arrived! The annual catalog is 190 pages of pure gift heaven and truly should not be missed. I remember perusing the hefty print version as a kid and being amazed by all the fun "treasures" they had available to purchase. My 11 year old self was all about the diamonds and the fur coats, OK, I still like the diamonds and fur coast, but I've since branched out to shoes, bags, housewares and any/all Christmas decorations.

The Latest Venture for Tory Burch
Tory Burch recently launched the newest extension of her brand and it's about time! The fashion and lifestyle maven has added watches to her empire and they are everything you hoped they would be: classic, elegant and versatile.
The collection includes seven designs that have various band, metal and style options to choose from and they're is something for everyone, from the simple "Buddy" to the bold "Sawyer." I would happily add one of each to my jewelry box but my absolute favorite is the "Buddy" style with the wrap band.
What's great about this collection is that the prices are a nice medium between the Michael Kors type watches, which are in the $250-$300 range, and the Rolex and Cartier's of the world, which start at $3,000. Tory's collection ranges between $350 and $995.
The entire collection is available on the Tory Burch website and at Nordstrom.
