Solving Common Bra Problems with ThirdLove (Discount Included)

One of the keys to looking and feeling great in clothes is wearing the right bra, in the right size. Sounds simple, right? Yet the vast majority of women (8 out of 10) are wearing the wrong bra size. I know I've been guilty of it. For years I was wearing a 32A when in reality I was a 32B. When I finally made the switch to the correct size, it was life changing. No more side boob!

Wearing the wrong size can lead to all kinds of bra problems. Along with side boob, you've got straps that either dig into your shoulders or won't stay on properly, bands that always ride up, gaping cups and let's not forget the dreaded quad boob

Luckily, in the last 10 years, bras sizes and styles have come such a long way. One of the companies leading the charge for better bras is ThirdLove, a San Francisco-based online retailer that specializes in creating bras for women of all different shapes and sizes. They not only sell high quality, beautiful bras for under $100 (yes!), but they also offer tons of tips and information about finding the ideal bra and solving the fit problems that 80 percent of us put up with on a daily basis.

The graphic below from the ThirdLove team shows you how to properly put on a bra (who knew there was a right and wrong way!) and how to fix the most common fix issues. Definitely pin-worthy!
If you love this info, head on over to the Bra 101 section of ThirdLove's website for more tips, including the best bra style for your shape, how to care and clean your lingerie and finding your perfect size.

If one of their amazing bras strikes your fancy, make sure to type in the coupon code BRABLEMS at checkout to get 15% off of your order. Happy Shopping!

Current Obsession: Pineapples

Did you know that the pineapple is the universal symbol for hospitality? That's right, the popular fruit signifies hospitality, warmth and friendship, which is why you often see it pop up in homes everywhere.

From lamps and serve ware to candles and toss pillows, there are plenty of great pineapple decor items to add to your home. These are some of my current favorites:

May Wish List

Well, hello May!

I cannot believe how fast the spring is flying! Between work and social commitments, I don't even know where March and April went. From the looks of my calendar, the rest of spring will be just as busy.

I have two weddings, a shower and a bachelorette trip to Nantucket coming up and this month's wish list most definitely reflects my packing and event needs. Nothing says Nantucket like a wicker handbag!

I also found a few bits and bobs for house. All that blue and white vase needs is some gorgeous blue hydrangeas. The gold and white vase is a lovely find from T.J. Maxx that I could display just by itself. I also spotted this adorable silverware caddy that is perfect for outdoor summer entertaining. Now all I need is the grill!

Kate Spade's New Kitchen Collection

A while back, I did a post on Kate Spade's home collection, which I absolutely loved. I was cruising the Kate Spade website last week and they've just launch a new kitchen collection that is absolutely adorable!

Naturally, the colors are classic Kate Spade, bright and cheery, which is a nice change from most stainless steel kitchen items. Has anyone purchased anything from the new collection? I'd love to hear some feedback about the quality of the pots and bakeware.

Looking Ahead to Spring 2016

As I'm typing this, there is six inches of snow on the ground outside my apartment. That being said, I cannot wait for spring! Now that the holiday season is over, all of the fall/winter fashion is making its way out of the stores to make room for the gorgeous spring collections.

These are some of my favorite early spring 2016 picks from Nordstrom, NET-A-PORTER and Kate Spade.

Winter Skincare Products

Happy Monday! I hope all my fellow East Coasters safely weathered this weekend's snow storm.

The dry, cold air is here to stay and, if you're anything like me, it's wreaking havoc on your skin. If I'm not careful, it only takes a day or two of cold weather to lead to some serious dry skin.

There are some pretty pricy moisturizers out there, and many of them are worth every penny, (hello Creme de la Mer!), but not everyone can afford to slather their body in $350 moisturizer. And you don't have to! These six drugstore buys are my go-to skincare products
every winter.

Winter Skincare Products

Body Brush: You can't keep your skin properly moisturized without first removing the dry, dead skin. Before getting into the shower, take the brush and make long strokes across your entire body, making sure to make the strokes going towards your heart. At first, the bristles can seem a little rough on the skin, but you'll get use to it, trust me.

Baby Magic Creamy Baby Oil: Once you're out of the shower, when your body is still damp, slather on this creamy baby oil. I find regular baby oil to be too greasy, so this one in cream form is perfect. It absorbs quickly and smells fantastic. Plus, you can't beat the $5 price.

Burt's Bees Lip Balm: I am super picky about my lip balm because so many of them actually end up making my lips dryer. Others just aren't thick enough for me and I end up licking them off in five minutes. The waxy texture of the Burt's Bees creates a nice barrier against the cold, dry air and soothes any painful cracks. I usually buy them by the half dozen and stash them everywhere.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream: I'm a confirmed germaphobe, so during cold and flu season, I wash my hands A LOT. Which is great for staying healthy but bad for the skin on my hands. I have tried every hand cream out there and this is hand's down the absolute best. Even if my hand don't feel dry, I put it on every night before bed for preventative measures. You can wear moisturizing gloves with it if you like, but I don't find them to be necessary.

VaselineThis classic ointment is perfect for super rough, dry patches of skin like elbows, knees and feet. Just one application will make a big difference. Because it's an ointment, it's very thick and fairly greasy, so I always wear old sweats and socks that I don't care about when I slather it on before bed.

CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion: Facial moisturizer has always been tough on me because I have a tendency to have patches of dry skin mixed with areas (like my nose) that get oily. This is a simple night moisturizer that will keep the dry patches at bay without making your skin oily. I'm also a fan of their AM moisturizer
